Okay, so I've had this little blue buddy on my nightstand for about a month now, and here's the real tea.
First off - the sound? *Chef's kiss* Way better than my old Echo Dot. I can actually hear lyrics clearly when I'm jamming to Lizzo at 2am (sorry neighbors).
The screen is perfect for checking weather without putting on my glasses - though sometimes Alexa gets sassy when I mumble 'weather' with morning breath.
Privacy features are solid. That camera shutter gives me peace of mind, though I still catch myself side-eyeing it sometimes like 'I know you're listening, Alexa...'
Video calls are hit or miss. Tried calling mom who has an iPhone - let's just say we're back to regular phone calls now.
Smart home control is magical until it isn't. Nothing like yelling 'ALEXA TURN OFF THE LIGHTS' five times at 3am when she suddenly forgets English.
The recycled materials are cool and all, but can we talk about how this thing slides around like it's on ice? Had to buy a separate stand which kinda defeats the 'affordable' angle.
Final verdict? It's like having a slightly annoying but ultimately helpful roommate. Would buy again (but maybe wait for Black Friday).
