After using the Poly Studio 4K across multiple conference rooms for 6 months, I'm blown away by its AI-powered auto-framing that makes virtual meetings feel surprisingly natural. The camera smoothly zooms in on whoever's speaking - no more awkward 'Can you see me now?' moments when someone leans forward.
The plug-and-play setup is a dream. I literally unboxed it, plugged in the USB (loved the extra-long cable!), and was hosting a Zoom call within 90 seconds. The stereo speakers deliver crisp audio that fills our 15'x20' conference room perfectly.
However, the microphone range disappointed me. In larger meetings, remote participants kept saying we sounded 'distant' unless we huddled near the unit. The auto-framing, while impressive, has a noticeable 2-3 second lag when switching speakers - not ideal for rapid-fire discussions.
The biggest headache? The unreliable remote control. Like other reviewers experienced, ours works intermittently despite fresh batteries. At $800+, I expected better reliability from Poly.
For small teams who value simplicity over advanced features, this is still one of the best all-in-one solutions I've tested. Just don't expect miracles in large spaces or fast-paced meetings.
