After testing the LISEN MagSafe Car Mount Charger for weeks, I can confidently say it's one of the better magnetic car chargers I've used - with some caveats. The magnetic hold is impressively strong; my iPhone 15 Pro Max (with a thick case) stayed put even on rough roads. No wobbles, no accidental drops - just rock-solid security.
The charging performance was inconsistent at first (like some reviewers experienced), but after contacting customer service, they promptly sent a replacement unit that charges at full 15W speed consistently. This makes me believe earlier units might have had quality control issues that the company has since addressed.
Installation options are versatile - I tried both dashboard and vent mounting. The vent mount works beautifully in my Honda CR-V, keeping my phone cool during charging (a major plus). However, the dashboard adhesive didn't hold well in warmer weather until I thoroughly cleaned the surface first.
Build quality feels premium with nice touches like the subtle green charging indicator light and braided cable. The one-click release mechanism works smoothly, though the magnet is so strong you'll need to use some force to remove your phone.
My biggest gripe? The charger does make my phone quite warm during extended use. I've found pointing the AC vent toward it helps significantly. Also, while it claims universal compatibility, charging speeds vary noticeably between iPhone and Samsung devices.
At its current price point ($30-40), it's not the cheapest option but delivers where it counts - secure mounting and reliable fast charging (after that initial hiccup). Just make sure your car's power outlet can deliver sufficient wattage for optimal performance.
