I recently got my hands on the SCRIB3D P1 3D Printing Pen, and it's been an absolute blast! The pen itself is lightweight and comfortable to hold, even for someone with smaller hands like mine. The stepless speed slider is a game-changer—whether I'm working on intricate designs or faster infill work, the control is seamless.
The included PLA filament is great for beginners, but I quickly realized I needed more. After some research, I switched to a locally sourced PLA, and the difference was night and day—smoother extrusion, better adhesion, and less stringiness. Pro tip: Wax paper is a cheap and effective surface to work on!
My 8-year-old niece loves it too. Under supervision, she’s created butterflies and other fun shapes using the stencil guide. Just be mindful—the nozzle gets hot, so it’s not for very young kids. The auto-sleep feature is a nice safety touch.
One minor gripe: The included filament runs out fast. Order extra upfront! Also, the pen’s feed button can be sensitive—my first one had issues, but the seller replaced it promptly.
Overall, this pen is a fantastic tool for creativity and even practical fixes. Whether you're doodling in 3D or repairing printed items (it handles ABS too!), it’s worth every penny.
