So my autistic son needed new basketball shoes for Special Olympics, and these Moodeng high-tops seemed perfect. The color matched his uniform (major win!) and the ankle support design is GENIUS - supportive sides with open back so he doesn't feel trapped. Sensory issues = no-go for full coverage shoes.
The quality surprised me - they're lightweight but sturdy, with that springy sole that makes running easier. Breathability is legit too; no swamp feet after practice. His teammates actually thought they looked like Kobe's shoes (instant cool points!).
BUT... we hit some snags. The grip? Basically non-existent on court - my kid kept sliding like he was on ice skates. Also, while the ankle support works for casual wear, it might not be enough for intense basketball moves according to other parents' reviews.
Final verdict? Great for style and everyday wear, but serious ballers might want more traction and ankle protection. We're keeping them for practice sessions but got different shoes for actual games.
