Let me start by saying I've tried A LOT of eyebrow products, but the Japan Beauty Excel Powder & Pencil in Ash Gray (PD13) has been my daily driver for months now. That combo of powder and pencil? Genius for creating natural-looking brows.
The pencil glides on smoothly – no tugging like some cheap pencils I've used. The ash gray shade is PERFECT for cool-toned hair colors, giving that 'my brows but better' look. Pro tip: use light strokes to mimic hair!
Now the powder side... it's okay. I mostly use it to soften harsh lines, but honestly? Could live without it. The real star is that pencil formula – stays put through my 12-hour workdays without fading.
Downsides? Yeah, the cap cracks if you look at it wrong (seriously Japan Beauty, fix this!). And while the pencil lasts me about 2 months with daily use, I wish they'd sell refills since I always have leftover powder when the pencil runs out.
Worth the price? If you're after that perfect ashy tone and easy application – absolutely. Just treat that cap like fragile glass!
