Okay, so I've been using these RUBMATE resistance bands for about two months now, and here's the real tea ☕
First off - the variety is legit. The set comes with four different resistance levels (from baby-mode 11lbs to 'oh-god-why' 100lbs). As someone who went from couch potato to home workout junkie during quarantine, this progression has been clutch.
The natural latex material? Surprisingly nice. No weird chemical smells, and they haven't snapped on me yet (unlike my last cheap set that literally whipped my butt mid-squat). The anti-slip texture is a game-changer when you're sweaty.
Portability gets an A+. The included bag fits all bands plus the handles, making it easy to stash under my couch or take to the park. Though fair warning - people WILL ask if you're carrying some weird sex toy when you bust these out in public.
Biggest surprise? These are amazing for assisted pull-ups. That 100lb band actually lets me do proper reps instead of just hanging pathetically from my doorway bar like a sad piñata.
Only con? The handles feel a bit cheap compared to the bands themselves. I mostly just loop them around my feet or anchor points anyway.
Final verdict: For $30-ish bucks, way better than expected. Would buy again if (when) I eventually snap one from overuse.
