Let me start by saying these bed pads are a game-changer! I've used them for my elderly mom, my toddler's nighttime accidents, AND my senior cat's litter box misses. The 23" x 36" size is perfect - big enough to provide coverage but not overwhelming.

The absorption is impressive - they claim to hold 8x their weight, and I believe it. When my mom had an accident overnight, the pad contained everything without leaking through to the sheets. The wetness indicator (a blue line) is super helpful for quick checks.

For pet owners: These work wonders around litter boxes! My arthritic cat doesn't always make it inside, and these pads have saved my bathroom floor. They're also great under puppy training pads for extra protection.

Now, the downsides: The pads can bunch up if the person (or pet) moves around a lot. Also, while they absorb well, they're not the thickest option out there - very heavy incontinence might require changing more frequently.
