As a parent always on the lookout for healthy snacks, I was intrigued by Sprout Organic Curlz. The broccoli flavor promised a plant-powered treat made from organic chickpeas and lentils - music to any health-conscious mom's ears!
The first thing that struck me was the packaging. The resealable canister is genius for busy parents - no more crushed snacks at the bottom of my diaper bag! My toddler could easily grab them herself, which made snack time much less messy (goodbye orange cheese-dust fingers!).
Taste-wise, they're surprisingly cheesy despite being dairy-free. My little one went crazy for them - we actually had to hide the canister before dinner! I appreciate that they melt quickly, making them safe even for my 7-month-old who's just starting solids.
Nutritionally, they're a win with 2g protein and fiber per serving. As someone who reads every label, I love seeing clean ingredients I can actually pronounce. The organic rosemary preservation is a nice touch too.
That said, consistency can vary slightly between batches - some cans had perfectly airy curls while others were denser. And while my kids adore them, I'll admit the flavor isn't my personal favorite (though that might be a good thing - more for the kids!).
At about $1.48 per ounce, they disappear quickly with hungry toddlers around. But considering the quality ingredients and convenience factor, I'll definitely keep buying them - maybe even in bulk next time!
