Let me start by saying these glasses surprised me. When I first took them out of the box, I'll admit I thought 'these feel cheap' - they're so lightweight they almost feel like toy glasses. But after wearing them for a week, that lightness became their biggest advantage.
The photochromic feature? Not exactly as advertised. Mine don't noticeably change tint based on light conditions, which was disappointing. However, the slight permanent tint actually works better than expected - even in my dimly lit home office, it doesn't interfere with screen visibility while still reducing eye strain.
Where these really shine (pun intended) is during outdoor activities. I've worn them cycling and playing tennis, and the polarization does an excellent job cutting glare. The frames stayed securely in place during movement, though I did need to adjust the fit slightly for my face shape.
As computer glasses, they're decent but not perfect. The blue light filtering seems effective - I've noticed significantly less eye fatigue after long work sessions. Just be aware the lenses maintain a subtle grayish tint even indoors.
The build quality is better than the initial plastic impression suggests. After two weeks of daily use including some accidental drops, there's not a single scratch on the lenses or frame damage.
Would I recommend them? For $20-30, they're solid performers as sport sunglasses with bonus blue light protection. Just don't expect magic transitions or complete clarity for night driving.
