Okay, so I've been using these Meross dual smart plugs for about 3 months now, and here's the tea ☕
First off - the GOOD STUFF: These babies saved my lazy butt. 'Hey Siri, turn on the coffee maker' while still in bed? Yes please! The dual outlet design is genius when you need to control two separate devices in one tight space.
The setup was... an experience. Had to do the whole 'disable 5G WiFi' dance which felt like tech sorcery. Pro tip: Do this setup near your router unless you enjoy frustration yoga.
Weird quirk alert! The app controls are mirrored if your outlets are installed ground-down. Took me a week to realize my 'left' outlet was actually controlling the right one. Naming each outlet in the app solved this mystery though.
Connection stability has been solid - no random dropouts like some other brands I've tried. They work seamlessly with both Alexa and HomeKit in my setup (though some reviewers had HomeKit issues).
The physical buttons are satisfying to press when you want manual control, though I keep forgetting which button controls which outlet. Maybe label them next time, Meross?
Would I buy again? Absolutely - already planning to get more for holiday lighting control. Just be ready for some initial setup quirks!
