After using the BN LINK Smart Plug Power Strip for several weeks, I can confidently say it's a reliable addition to any smart home setup. The setup was a breeze—just plug in, connect to WiFi via the BN-LINK app (or Smart Life/Tuya), and you're good to go. The app is intuitive, and voice control with Alexa/Google Assistant works flawlessly.
The standout feature? The 3 individually controlled outlets + 4 USB ports (including a 20W USB-C). I use one outlet for my desk lamp (scheduled to turn on at sunset), another for my coffee maker (morning automation bliss), and the third for seasonal decor. The USB ports keep my phone and tablet charged without cluttering my space with extra adapters.
However, there are quirks. As others noted, some bulky plugs fit tightly—my router’s power brick required a firm push. WiFi stability can be finicky if placed far from the router (mine dropped twice in a month). Also, the 5ft cord feels short for larger setups; I’d gladly pay extra for a longer version.
For $35, it’s a steal despite minor flaws. Just avoid it for mission-critical devices (like reptile heat lamps) due to occasional connectivity hiccups. Perfect for lamps, holiday lights, or creating sunrise/sunset routines!
