Okay, so my ancient GE range needed a new coil, and this WB30M1 was basically my last hope. Here's the real tea:
• First off, it's NOT officially GE-branded (despite the listing), but it's made in Mexico just like the OG parts. Weird flex but okay.
• Had to MacGyver it a bit - swapped the blank center cap with my old 'Genuine Calrod' one so my stove wouldn't look Frankensteined. Works perfectly though!
• PSA: Some reviewers got bent prongs (yikes!). Mine arrived straight, but maybe keep pliers handy just in case.
• Heating performance? Surprisingly aggressive! My scrambled eggs now cook faster than my patience lasts.
• For $40-ish, this saved me from a $2k kitchen remodel since nobody makes 27" drop-ins anymore. Absolute win!
Would I recommend? If you've got an old GE range clinging to life like mine - 100%. Just don't expect luxury packaging (mine came in what looked like recycled cereal boxes).
