Switching to ANYCUBIC's plant-based resin was like upgrading from a flip phone to a smartphone. The difference in odor alone is staggering – it's faint, almost like unscented laundry detergent, making marathon D&D mini-printing sessions way more pleasant.
What really blew me away? The detail retention. Tiny chainmail links on my paladin miniature came out crisp enough to count each ring. Unlike cheaper resins that snap delicate sword blades, this stuff has just enough flex – my rogue's dagger survived an accidental drop from the painting table.
The grey version became my workhorse after testing their color range. Black resin made support removal a guessing game, while translucent colors played tricks with depth perception during painting. Pro tip: shaking the bottle like a cocktail mixer prevents those weird pigment streaks mid-print.
Dialing in settings took some trial (my first six attempts were modern art disasters), but hitting that sweet spot of 3-second exposure transformed everything. Now my photon mono x2 churns out flawless minis while I work nearby – something impossible with traditional resins that stunk up the whole floor.
