Okay, so I finally got my hands on the GoPro Hero12 Black and HOLY MOLY this thing is insane!
The waterproof feature is no joke - took it snorkeling last weekend and the footage looks like it's from a NatGeo documentary. That 5.3K resolution? Chef's kiss 👌
Battery life surprised me - lasted through my whole hiking trip (about 2 hours of recording). Though fair warning: if you're shooting non-stop, pack an extra battery.
The stabilization is witchcraft. I recorded while mountain biking down some gnarly trails and the footage looks like I was floating on a cloud. Emmy Award-winning tech ain't lying!
Pro tip: The Quik app makes transferring files to your phone stupid easy. Was able to edit and post my cliff jumping vid before I even dried off.
Only gripe? It does get warm after long recording sessions. But for my typical 10-15 minute adventure clips? Perfect.
Worth every penny if you're into capturing life's wild moments in crazy good quality!
