I was skeptical at first, especially after reading mixed reviews, but I decided to give this latex thickener a shot for my mask-making project.
The first thing I noticed was the texture—it’s a clear, jelly-like substance. I mixed a small amount (about a teaspoon) into my liquid latex, and while it didn’t turn it into pudding-thick consistency, it definitely made the latex more manageable. It spread smoother and held details better when I brushed it onto my mold.
That said, don’t expect miracles. If you’re looking for a dramatic thickness boost, this might not be the product for you. But for subtle thickening and improved workability, it does the job. A little goes a long way—I barely made a dent in the jar after multiple uses.
The lack of instructions was frustrating (come on, even a basic FAQ would help!), but once I got the hang of eyeballing the ratios, it became a handy tool in my crafting kit. Not perfect, but worth trying if you tweak expectations.
