Let me start with the elephant in the room - that safety seal is ridiculous. I nearly broke a nail trying to get it off before finally stabbing it with a knife like I was opening a coconut. Once conquered though, this soap has become my go-to.
The value is insane - two massive 32oz bottles for less than most single bottles at Target. I initially thought it was a pricing error when my shipment arrived. My bathroom dispenser hasn't needed a refill in weeks, which is saying something with three messy kids constantly washing grass-stained hands.
About that scent controversy - to me it's pleasantly neutral, like a clean hotel soap. Not overpowering, just fresh. My sensitive-nosed husband who usually complains about 'perfume bombs' hasn't mentioned it once, which is the highest praise.
It performs beautifully in my fancy automatic dispenser - no clogs, nice lather that rinses clean without residue. Hands feel soft after washing, not stripped dry like some cheap soaps.
The only real downside? That stubborn seal means I can't quickly pop open a new bottle when we have surprise guests. Maybe keep an old bottle half-filled for emergencies?
