The adjustable dial at the back is genius. My kid went from hating helmets to forgetting he’s wearing this one. We started with it loose for his 3rd birthday, and now at almost 5, we’ve just tightened it two clicks – no need for a new helmet yet.

Those 14 air vents aren’t just marketing fluff. During our summer bike rides, his hair isn’t soaked like with cheaper helmets. The bug mesh? Lifesaver when he decided to ride through a swarm of gnats last week.

Warning about sizing though – measure twice! We initially got the small size based on age (he was 3) and had to exchange for XS. That chin strap padding makes all the difference when he inevitably faceplants chasing the ice cream truck.

After a year of abuse – being thrown, dropped, and used as a ‘basket’ for rocks – the paint is chipped but the structure is solid. Worth every penny for the peace of mind alone.
