Okay, so I finally caved and bought TKB's Polybutene after seeing it hyped everywhere for DIY lip glosses. Verdict? It's like liquid glue but in the BEST way possible.
First off - this stuff is THICK. Like, 'oops-I-tilted-the-bottle-and-now-it's-stuck-to-my-hand-forever' thick. Learned the hard way that oil (I used coconut) is the only way to clean it up. Pro tip: Wear gloves!
The shine it gives to my homemade lip oils is insane though. Makes them look professional without that gross sticky feeling. Just a perfect slippery texture that lasts for hours.
Only complaint? The packaging sucks. Mine arrived leaking (thankfully got refunded), and the wide mouth makes it impossible to control portions. I transferred mine to a squeeze bottle with a fine tip.
Price is steep for the amount, but a little goes a long way. Would 100% repurchase - my DIY lip game will never be the same!
