Just got my hands on this Vertical Heat Press Machine, and wow—what a difference it makes for threaded inserts! Here’s my take:
• Assembly quirks: The instructions were a bit jumbled (steps looked like 1,2,36,5,4?!), but once I figured it out, assembly took under 10 minutes. Pro tip: Check the store page for clearer steps.
• Power & precision: The 60W soldering iron heats up FAST (180°C–500°C) and holds temp better than my old one. No more crooked inserts—just straight, consistent presses every time.
• Bonus goodies: Comes with M2–M8 tips AND knurled nuts. Saved me $$$ since I almost bought a separate tip set. Also, that mystery plastic cap? It’s for covering the aluminum tower (nice touch).
• Lightweight but sturdy: Aluminum construction keeps it portable, but it’s got enough heft to make pressing effortless. No tipping issues here!
• Room for tweaks: Had to shim the soldering iron mount slightly to perfect the angle. Also, the included tips fit inserts a tad tight—I prefer my looser ones.
Verdict: 4.5/5. If you’re drowning in heat-set inserts (Voron builders, I see you), this is a lifesaver. Minor quirks, but the speed and precision are unbeatable for the price.
