I've been using these stainless steel sinking feeders for a few weeks now, and my bottom-dwelling fish are absolutely loving them! My plecos and snails go crazy for zucchini slices secured in these feeders—no more chasing floating veggies around the tank.
The 304 stainless steel construction is brilliant—no rust, even in my saltwater setup. I was worried about sharp edges at first, but simply covering the ends with cucumber slices solves that issue completely. The feeders sink reliably every time, keeping the food right where my shy bottom feeders want it.
While they work perfectly for moderate portions, I did notice they struggle with larger pieces of zucchini (about 1/3 or more makes them float). But for daily feedings of reasonable portions? Absolutely perfect. My crayfish has become much more active since I started using these—he used to miss out on vegetable treats that would float away.
Cleaning is a breeze too—just a quick rinse under tap water. These simple tools have completely transformed feeding time in my aquarium.
