Just wrapped up my 3-month trial with Mint Mobile's $20/mo 15GB plan, and here's the tea ☕️:
The Good:
• 5G speeds are legit! Got 200Mbps in my area (Samsung Note 20). Hotspot works at full 5G speed too – lifesaver during travels.
• Roaming passes for Canada/Germany worked flawlessly. Rare for prepaid!
• eSIM conversion took 5 mins online. No physical SIM juggling.
• That $20 price tag? *chef's kiss* Saved me $100+ vs my old carrier.
The Meh:
• Data gets throttled in crowded places (looking at you, stadiums). Expect 0.02Mbps when everyone's Instagramming the game.
• Customer service waits are longer than a Marvel post-credits scene.
• Random spam calls if your recycled number had a ~colorful~ past owner.
Final Verdict:
If you're a light-to-medium data user who hates contract BS, this is golden. Would I trust it for brain surgery Zoom calls? Nah. For memes, Spotify, and occasional hotspotting? 100% renewing.
P.S. The SIM card design is stupid cute. Worth keeping as a bookmark.
