Just installed this A-Premium hood latch cable on my '89 S10 Blazer, and it's a game-changer compared to the brittle original. The 73-inch length was spot-on, threading through the firewall without any kinks. That plastic-coated steel cable feels beefy—no more worrying about snaps during winter mornings.
The handle has a satisfying weight to it, way sturdier than the flimsy OEM one. I did notice the rubber boot doesn't seal the firewall hole as tightly as the factory part (leaves a slight gap), but a dab of silicone sealant fixed that. For $25, this is leagues better than junkyard pulls.
What surprised me most was the smooth pull action—no more two-handed wrestling matches to pop the hood. The zinc-plated ends resist rust, crucial for my plow truck. While it's not 100% identical to OEM fitment, it's 95% there and 200% more durable. A-Premium nailed the essentials.
