After a year of daily use, I can confidently say these speakers are worth every penny. Upgrading from $20 desktop speakers to the A2+ was like switching from a bicycle to a sports car - the difference is staggering.
The build quality screams premium. From the microfiber-wrapped unboxing experience to the solid wood cabinets, Audioengine clearly cares about details. The magnetic grilles and angled stands (sold separately) add both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Sound-wise, they punch way above their size. The 2.75" aramid fiber woofers deliver surprisingly articulate bass, while the silk dome tweeters handle highs without any harshness. They won't replace a subwoofer for bassheads, but jazz basslines and acoustic tracks shine with remarkable clarity.
Connectivity is a dream - I regularly switch between Bluetooth (with flawless aptX performance) and wired connections without any hiccups. The multiple simultaneous inputs mean I can have my PC and phone both connected at once.
My only minor complaint? The USB DAC doesn't quite match my external unit's performance. But for a compact, all-in-one solution, the A2+ continues to impress me daily. These speakers have transformed my WFH setup into a proper listening station.
