When my LG air conditioner's remote died mid-heatwave, I took a gamble on this $15 replacement. The setup was laughably easy - just pop in two AAA batteries and it synced instantly with my LS120HEV2 unit.
The buttons have a satisfying click and all basic functions (on/off, temp, fan speed) work perfectly. I especially appreciate the clearly labeled 'Turbo Cool' button for those brutal afternoons when my bedroom feels like a sauna.
Now for the not-so-great: The LCD screen is practically invisible unless you're holding it at a 45-degree angle under bright light. I've resorted to memorizing button sequences like some sort of AC ninja.
After 3 weeks of daily use, it's holding up better than expected. While it lacks fancy features like room temp display (who needs that anyway?), it gets the job done for half the price of an OEM remote. Just don't drop it - the battery cover feels flimsier than my willpower at an ice cream shop.
