Okay, so I've been using this Ocean Wave Projector for about a month now, and here's my honest take:

First off - the good stuff. The water ripple effect is GORGEOUS. When it works properly, it genuinely looks like I'm lying under the ocean surface. My toddler stares at the ceiling mesmerized every night. The remote control is super convenient for changing colors (16 options!) without getting out of bed.

BUT (and this is a big but)... mine started malfunctioning after 3 weeks. The ocean wave mode stopped working completely - now it only does solid colors. Super disappointing since that was the whole reason I bought it. The touch controls can be finicky too - sometimes takes multiple taps to respond.

Some pro tips if you get one: 1) Place it high up for maximum coverage 2) Use batteries instead of USB for better portability 3) The dimmer settings are a lifesaver for bedtime.

Would I recommend it? Maybe. When it works, it's magical. But the quality control seems hit-or-miss based on other reviews. At $18, it's not a huge loss if it fails, but temper your expectations.
