After wrestling with this 50-pound beast during installation, I can confirm the Tecmojo 15U rack is built like a tank. The cold-rolled steel construction handled my NAS, switches, and patch panels without flexing – though I definitely needed a second pair of hands for wall mounting.
The mesh door has been a game-changer for my overheating equipment. Unlike my old solid cabinet, the dual top fans combined with mesh airflow keep my gear at stable temps even during summer. I did have to rewire one fan connection though – the factory wire nuts were sketchy.
Assembly was frustratingly cryptic. The wordless pictogram instructions had me playing guessing games with parts for 20 minutes. Several screw holes required forceful alignment, and one side panel clip arrived broken. For $300, I expected better QC.
Security features are this rack's strongest suit. The unified key system for front/side panels gives me peace of mind about my Mac Mini and networking gear. Just be warned – accessing the rear requires full unscrewing, which is inconvenient during cable management.
While the weight capacity (176lbs wall-mounted) meets my needs, the shallow 23.6" depth creates challenges. My deeper servers required creative mounting. The included L-brackets and shelf helped, but I'll probably upgrade to a deeper model eventually.
