Just got this ceiling trapeze bar for my grandma, and wow—what a difference it makes! She’s got limited mobility, and this thing helps her sit up, adjust positions, and even transfer to her wheelchair with way less strain. The handle is super comfy for her grip, and the strap feels sturdy (rated for 350 lbs, so no worries there).
Installation was… interesting. Our ceilings are popcorn-style, so I improvised and looped it around her bed frame instead. Not the intended use, but it works! If you’re going the ceiling route, definitely find studs—drywall alone won’t cut it.
Psychologically, it’s been huge for her. She calls it her ‘exercise bar’ and loves the independence. Only gripe? The strap length is loooong. Had to knot it to fit her bed height. Wish adjustments were easier.
For the price? Way cheaper than hospital supply stores. Just double-check your setup for safety!
