Let me start by saying these shorts are a STEAL for the price. I've used them for spin classes and outdoor rides, and they hold up surprisingly well. The 4D padding isn't as thick as premium brands, but it's strategically placed and doesn't shift around - a huge plus when you're logging miles.
The breathability is where these shorts shine. That 82% nylon/18% spandex blend really works - I've done hour-long sessions without that swampy feeling. The silicone grippers? They work... mostly. On intense rides, I did find myself adjusting occasionally, but for casual cycling, they stay put fine.
Fit is true to size (I'm a 40" waist and XL fits perfectly), though the waistband elastic could be better secured. After washing a dozen times (cold water, hang dry), they've maintained shape and padding integrity. Not bad for shorts costing a fraction of premium brands!
Downsides? The paneling could be more sophisticated - they sometimes bunch during aggressive riding. And while the padding is decent, serious cyclists doing century rides might want thicker cushioning. But for 20-30 mile rides? These deliver exceptional value.
Final verdict: An outstanding entry-level option that punches above its weight class. I've since bought multiple pairs - they're that good for the price!
