Let me start by saying the Razer Kraken V4 Pro delivers some of the most immersive gaming audio I've ever experienced. The THX Spatial Audio makes footsteps in Valorant sound like they're happening right behind me - it's almost scary how accurate the positioning is.
The OLED Control Hub is a game-changer. I keep mine on my desk to quickly switch between my PC and phone when work calls interrupt my gaming. The screen showing battery life and connection status saves me from constantly guessing.
Now for the not-so-great parts. Razer Synapse has been a nightmare. Like other reviewers, I've had THX Spatial Audio bugs that made my $400 headset sound worse than $50 earbuds until I bought the standalone app. The mic volume resetting to zero is beyond frustrating during team matches.
Comfort gets an 8/10 from me. The memory foam is plush, but after 4-hour gaming sessions, my ears do get warm. The haptics are incredible when properly tuned - explosions in Battlefield feel visceral - but they're battery vampires. I've learned to keep them at medium for balance.
Battery life surprised me. With RGB at 70% and moderate haptics, I get about 14 hours. The quick charge feature has saved me multiple times when I forgot to plug in overnight.
Would I recommend it? Yes, but with caveats. If you're willing to troubleshoot software issues and don't mind the premium price, the audio quality and features are unmatched. Just be prepared for some Razer-typical software headaches.
