Okay, so I got this LUTE window film because I was tired of neighbors peeking into my living room. First impression? The film looked kinda meh when unrolled – like dull plastic. But OH BOY, once I peeled off the backing and stuck it on my window... RAINBOW EXPLOSION! My walls look like a unicorn party now.
Installation was... an adventure. I used a dustpan as a squeegee (don't judge) and still got some bubbles, but the 3D pattern hides them well. Pro tip: WET THE WINDOW A LOT. I learned this after nearly giving up on the first corner.
The privacy is perfect – people can't see my messy room, but I still get beautiful soft light. Bonus: my plants are thriving without getting sunburned! The film does get warm though, so don't expect AC-level cooling.
Random happy discovery: leftover scraps make awesome DIY projects! I'm currently decorating my laptop with rainbow shards. 10/10 would buy again just for the daily dopamine hit when sunlight hits it.
