Let me start by saying this sander has been my go-to for detail work. The 360-degree rotating belt is a game-changer for sanding inside corners and awkward angles that regular sanders just can't reach. At 20,000 RPM, it powers through wood and metal surfaces surprisingly well.
The compact size makes it perfect for automotive work - I've used it extensively on wheel wells and door jambs where space is tight. The 3/8" x 13" belt size gives you just enough surface area without being bulky.
Now for the not-so-great parts: That angle adjustment clamp? Total frustration. It slips constantly during use, forcing me to stop and readjust mid-sanding. I've literally had to wedge a screwdriver in there to keep it locked - not ideal when you're trying to maintain precision.
The end roller is another weak point. Mine wore down after about three months of moderate use (I'm talking maybe 8-10 hours total). Following other users' advice, I replaced it with a metal roller from a different brand, which solved the issue completely.
Durability seems hit or miss - mine's held up fine with weekly use for about a year now, but I've heard horror stories of units breaking immediately. If you buy this, test it thoroughly within the return window.
Final verdict? At the right price (definitely shop around), with the roller replacement and some patience for the slipping clamp, this can be a valuable addition to your workshop. Just don't expect professional-grade durability out of the box.
