Let me start by saying this little device has been a game-changer for my family. We got it for my grandma who lives in our basement, and it's given all of us so much peace of mind.
The setup was surprisingly simple - just plug in the receiver, connect to WiFi, and pair the panic buttons. Within minutes we had the system up and running. The Smart Life app integration is brilliant - I get instant notifications on my phone wherever I am when grandma presses her button.
What I love most is how lightweight and comfortable the panic buttons are. Grandma wears one around her neck all day without complaint, and we've never had any accidental triggers while she sleeps. The range is impressive too - no issues reaching from our basement to upstairs.
The multiple alert options are great. The receiver plays loud alarms (with adjustable volume!) while simultaneously sending app notifications to multiple family members. We've set up a group chat that automatically activates when an alert comes in.
Now for the downsides: There's no fall detection or voice communication, which would be nice additions. We've also had occasional false alarms when buttons get pressed accidentally in pockets. And fair warning - getting text notifications requires a paid subscription.
Overall though? For under $100 with no monthly fees, this system delivers incredible value. It's given my grandma independence while ensuring she can always reach us when needed. If you're caring for an elderly loved one, this is absolutely worth considering.
