Let me tell you about my new favorite notebook - the NATIONAL Texhide Record Book. I've been using this beauty for three months now as my work journal, and I'm completely sold on its quality.
The first thing you'll notice is that premium leather-like cover with burgundy accents. It looks so professional sitting on my desk, yet it's tough enough to survive daily abuse in my work bag. The sewn binding? Rock solid - I've opened and closed this thing hundreds of times and it still lies perfectly flat.
That Eye-Ease green paper is genius. After long writing sessions, my eyes don't feel strained at all. The pages are numbered (lifesaver for organization!) and while some users wish the paper was thicker, I find it perfect for my fountain pen - just minimal ghosting if I press really hard.
Here's where it shines: durability meets functionality. The spine simply says 'RECORD' - clean and professional. That white sticker comes right off if you prefer a minimalist look. At 150 pages, it's substantial without being bulky.
Small critique? I do miss having a built-in bookmark, and after heavy use, the binding does show some wear (but come on - that's after filling every page!). For the price, this is hands-down the best value quality notebook I've found.
Whether you're tracking finances like some reviewers, keeping lab notes, or journaling like me - this book handles it all with class. After testing dozens of notebooks over the years, this one has earned a permanent spot in my workflow.
