Let me start by saying, this Mordx Art Portfolio Bag is a game-changer for artists on the go. The first thing that struck me was its luxurious appearance - the Oxford cloth and canvas material gives it a high-end look that rivals designer bags. I actually got compliments from fellow artists when I brought it to my last gallery event!
The bag's three-layer design with different pocket sizes (36*24inch, 36*17.7inch, and 19.7*15.7inch) is incredibly practical. I use the largest compartment for my finished paintings, the middle one for works in progress, and the smallest for brushes and small tools. The double-stitched zippers feel durable and haven't shown any signs of wear after months of use.
However, there's one important caveat - you'll definitely need to add cardboard or foam boards for proper protection. While the bag itself is well-made, it doesn't have enough structure on its own to prevent artwork from bending. I learned this the hard way when one of my watercolor pieces got slightly creased during transport before I started using reinforcement boards.
The carrying options are fantastic - I particularly love the padded shoulder strap which makes carrying large artworks much more comfortable. The removable feature is great when I just want to carry it by the top handles for short distances.
A minor issue worth mentioning is that when it first arrived, there was a slight odor from packaging and some wrinkles in the material (as other reviewers noted). But after airing it out overnight, both issues completely disappeared.
Overall, if you're looking for a stylish yet functional way to transport your artwork and don't mind adding your own protective boards inside, this portfolio bag is an excellent choice that combines aesthetics with practicality at a reasonable price point.
