Okay, so I just finished 'Broken Country' and wow—my emotions are all over the place! The writing is absolutely gorgeous, like poetry but in novel form. The way the story jumps around in time kept me hooked, and those *important events*? Heart. Wrenching.
The characters felt so real—I laughed with them, cried with them, and maybe yelled at my book a few times (no shame). That ending though? Perfect. Not too neat, not too messy—just right.
Also can we talk about those plot twists?! Did NOT see that coming. Reese's Book Club picks can be hit or miss for me, but this one? Total home run. If you love historical fiction with messy relationships and beautiful prose, grab this immediately.
PS - Ignore the reviews about paper quality if you're getting the ebook like I did. The story more than makes up for it!
