Let me start by saying these boxes DID get the job done during my recent move. I used them for two large framed paintings (48x36 inches) and a flat-screen TV. The adjustable flaps made fitting different sizes surprisingly easy—no awkward gaps or overhang.
The cardboard feels thinner than I expected though. While my items arrived intact after a 300-mile trip, I wasn't taking any chances—I lined the boxes with extra bubble wrap and reinforced the corners with packing tape. The corrugated layers held up, but I wouldn't trust them alone for heavy mirrors.
Where these really shined was protecting my sister's oil painting during shipment. The snug fit prevented any shifting, and the kraft cardboard absorbed minor impacts well. Just don't expect premium protection—think of these as a decent first layer that needs supplemental padding.
At this price point, they're convenient for one-time moves rather than long-term storage solutions. Pro tip: assemble them on a flat surface—the thin material warps easily if you're not careful during setup.
