Let me start by saying this toaster is an absolute stunner. The retro stainless steel design with cream accents looks like it belongs in a 1950s diner, but with all the modern features you'd want. It's been the centerpiece of my breakfast routine for weeks now.
The extra-wide 1.5-inch slots are a game-changer. I can finally toast my thick sourdough slices without having to cram them in. Bagels? No problem. Even frozen waffles slide right in thanks to the defrost function. The 6-shade browning control gives me perfect toast every time - I've settled on level 3 for that ideal golden crunch.
What really surprised me was how much I use the reheat function. Leftover pizza bread? Pop it in for a quick warm-up without further browning. The cancel button has saved me multiple times when I got distracted (who hasn't burned toast while scrolling Instagram?).
Now for the not-so-great parts: That beautiful crumb tray? It's removable and washable... until you drop something thin like a Pop-Tart inside (learned that the hard way). The lever mechanism can be finicky - mine occasionally needs an extra push to stay down. And while the warming tray works great for buns, figuring out how to close it wasn't intuitive at all.
Cleaning is mostly a breeze thanks to the stainless steel exterior, though fingerprints show up easily. The cord storage keeps things tidy on my small counter space.
Would I buy it again? Absolutely - especially knowing about their responsive customer service (they replaced units even after warranty issues). Just maybe keep your Pop-Tarts away from it!
