The rolled-up packaging was a nice surprise - no annoying creases like other brands. Unrolled it and BAM, lays perfectly flat immediately. Thickness feels premium (they weren't kidding about the coin comparison).

Heat resistance is LEGIT. I've put piping hot pans directly on it (482°F my butt - I trust it with my life now). The non-slip texture actually works?? My blender hasn't walked across the counter since.
