I've been using this AmazonBasics instrument cable for about a month now with my electric guitar setup, and I have to say - it's way better than I expected for the price.
The first thing you'll notice is how flexible this cable is. Unlike some cheaper cables that feel stiff and fight against you when coiling, this one moves naturally. The tweed cloth jacket looks cool in my home studio setup too.
Sound quality has been perfect - no humming, buzzing or signal drops that I sometimes get with budget cables. My amp gets clean, noise-free signal even at high gain settings. The straight-to-straight connectors fit snugly in all my gear without being too tight.
While I wouldn't trust this for heavy touring (the cloth jacket might not survive constant abuse), it's been absolutely reliable for home practice and recording sessions. The 20ft length gives me plenty of room to move around during practice.
After accidentally yanking it a few times when tripping over the cable (we've all been there), I'm impressed that both ends still work perfectly with no connection issues. For casual players or home musicians, this is probably all the cable you'll ever need.
