Just installed the COSMO UC30 hood and Waste King disposal combo in my kitchen reno. Here's the real tea ☕️
The Good: The UC30's analog buttons are LIFE after trying their touch-control sibling (seriously, who designs those?). Low/medium speeds are whisper-quiet, and the LED lights could double as runway lighting. Also obsessed with how slim it looks under my cabinets—like kitchen jewelry.
The Quirks: That flexible duct it came with? Trash. Made the vent flaps stick open like a surprised cartoon character. Swapped for rigid ducting and problem solved. Pro tip: Add felt pads to stop filter rattles on high speed—sounds like a maraca concert otherwise.
Disposal MVP: The Waste King is shockingly powerful for half HP—chewed through lemon rinds like they were gossip. Pre-installed cord saved me from electrocution attempts (I'm not handy). Dishwasher hookup = less slimy sink hands 🙌
Final Verdict: At $220, it's 90% awesome if you're willing to MacGyver a few fixes. Just don't buy the touchscreen version unless you enjoy solving riddles to turn on a fan.
