Okay, let's get one thing straight - this isn't just another cheesy 80s horror flick. This is Trick or Treat we're talking about! The Blu-ray release is everything I hoped for and more.
The picture quality? Mind-blowing. After suffering through that awful bargain bin DVD for years (seriously, my VHS looked better), seeing Fast Eddie's revenge in crisp HD feels like discovering the movie all over again. Synapse Films did an incredible job with the transfer.
And the sound? Oh man, the sound! That Fastway soundtrack finally gets the treatment it deserves. The 5.1 mix makes you feel like you're at a concert during the club scenes. My neighbors probably hate me now from blasting it too loud!
Special shoutout to the slipcover art - they used my favorite poster design! Though I'm still salty about missing that limited edition box set with the soundtrack...
If you grew up with this movie or just love metal/horror combos, this is a must-buy. False metal not included!
