Okay, so I finally caved and got this fancy ecobee thermostat after my partner wouldn't stop nagging about 'home automation'. Gotta say - it's pretty slick looking on my wall, like some minimalist art piece that happens to control my AC.
The app controls are a game changer when I'm too lazy to get off the couch. But here's the tea: why is turning on JUST the fan like solving a Rubik's cube? Every. Single. Time. For a $300 gadget, you'd think this would be simpler.
On the bright side, the remote sensors are genius - no more fighting over which room gets priority. And when I had setup issues, ecobee's customer service actually knew their stuff (shocking in 2023!).
Would I buy it again? Probably. But I'll still complain about that damn fan setting.
